Alan R. Roth, DO, FAAFP

Dr. Roth is a dually certified Diplomate of the American Lath of Family Medicine. He is also Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He shortly serves equally Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine and Director of the Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program. Dr. Roth'due south primary goal is to develop and enrich the training experiences of physicians interested in urban Family Medicine. He has completed a Residency Program Director Fellowship with the American University of Family Physicians and lectures nationally on urban Family Medicine Residency preparation and curriculum development. His special areas of interest include cultural competency training in graduate medical education, palliative medicine, disease prevention, health promotion and procedural skills. Dr. Roth is a customs minded dr. who regularly mentors many of our local youth interested in condign Family Physicians.
Gina M. Basello, Do
Programme Director, Family Medicine Residency Program
and Associate Manager, Palliative Care Fellowship Program
Dr. Basello is a graduate of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She completed her residency training at the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center Mountain Sinai School of Medicine Family Medicine Residency Program. She has always been passionate about teaching and immediately accepted a faculty position at the program and was quickly promoted to Associate Programme Director. She was appointed Plan Director in 2008 and her favorite part about being a Plan Director is mentoring Residents. She besides serves as the Acquaintance Manager of the Palliative Care Fellowship Plan and Manager of Graduate Medical Education at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. Her professional person areas of interest include cultural sensitivity training, faculty development and Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
Emerge Mathew-Geevarughese, Practice
Dr. Mathew-Geevarughese is a full time hospice and palliative care attending at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. She is a graduate of the NYIT-Higher of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her family medicine residency training at Ellis Infirmary in Schenectady, NY. She went on to complete a Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center/Albert Einstein Higher of Medicine Program. She is board certified in Family Medicine/ OMT as well as Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She supervises fellows, residents and medical students and enjoys teaching how to deliver quality, compassionate care to people of all ages and walks in life.
Oscar Corzo, Dr.
Dr. Corzo completed his medical education at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn. His residency was in Family Medicine at Jamaica Hospital Medical Heart, where he also went on to complete his Fellowship in Palliative Care. A long-fourth dimension adopted New Yorker, he is happy to continue to be part of the Jamaica Hospital family as Faculty Attending in Palliative Intendance. During his fourth dimension serving the Queens customs, he has found it personally rewarding to deliver compassionate intendance and guidance to under served populations with chronic and last illness.
Dr. Corzo's interests also include community medicine, which led him to agree his additional position of Medical Advisor for Jamaica Hospitals Care Management programs. These programs provide enhanced outpatient resources to patients in demand in order to improve the management of their chronic conditions and protect them from further worsening that may require hospital access.
Elizabeth Figuracion, Exercise
Dr. Figuracion is an attending physician in Hospice and Palliative Care at Jamaica Infirmary. She is board certified in Family unit Medicine. She earned her medical degree from New York Institute of Technology Higher of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Figuracion has completed her residency in Family Medicine as well equally her Hospice and Palliative Care fellowship at Jamaica Hospital. As she calls Queens New York her home, she finds passion in helping vulnerable populations, specially through difficult times.
